Last Christmas I actually styled our mantle. And I loved it. I've been wanting to do something with it for the other times of year when garland and stockings aren't quite seasonal. It had become a place that a mish mash of stuff has landed over the last couple months.
So yesterday I cleaned it off and found some favorite items from around the house to display.
First some close ups:
Some of my favorite books that were used as centerpieces at our wedding (titles: Romeo and Juliet, Sense and Sensibility, Jane Eyre and Rebecca) and a sign I found on etsy.com (below Schroeder it says established 2010).
A hurricane glass filled with some baubles I picked up at Target and the pictures of our parents from their wedding day that were also used at our wedding.
And a picture of the whole mantle:
I'm sure I'll be playing with it off and on swapping out different items. But for now I love it.

It looks amazing! I love that you've decorated it with pieces that have meaning to you both -- from your wedding, to your parents to your schroeder sign!
