Karma. I believe people get what's coming to them.

If you're an asshole and treat people like crap, you're going to get crap back some day. It may not be immediate, but it will happen.

So I try to be nice and respectful of other people. The hardest times are when I'm driving. I can get a little road rage-y, but I generally do what I can to let other people over when they signal and not ride someone's back bumper. (Now when I'm having a bad day, forget it.)

But when I was a teenage Mochaface, I could be a sarcastic little twit. Especially to my little brother and sister.

When they would ask what's for dinner, I replied food. When my sister asked what I was going to wear the next day, the answer was clothes.

They would get aggravated with me. Rightfully so. I thought it was hilarious and would look at them like it was their fault for not asking more specific questions.

One of John's favorite ways to push my buttons is to do that exact thing to me. Like the other day:

I get an extra day off during September for my birthday.

Oh nice. When do you think you might take it off?

On a work day in September.

It was in that moment that I realized karma had come for me.
