I am a bit of an overachiever. See: my list of goals for this month.
If you're not going to dream big, why bother dreaming at all. That's the overachiever motto.
After my freshman year in high school, I took geometry in summer school. Not because I failed the course during the school year. But because I wanted to get in the advanced math class with the smarties.
I read Shakespeare ahead of schedule so I could be better prepared for class discussion. I always understand Shakespeare better on the second read through.
(Side story - My parents for some reason were concerned with how I'd handle the workload of college. Until the day my dad found me in my room reading Shakespeare. Ahead of schedule. After that they weren't worried.)
In college I read the chapters to be discussed before class and always sat in the front row.
I volunteer for any sort of organizing or planning committee in the organizations I've joined and the companies I've worked for.
I like the bed made. Every day.
I pack my lunch and set aside both my running clothes and the clothes I wear to work the night before.
For the past two Christmases, I've made our Christmas cards. By hand.
I could go on. But there you go. Overachieverness. I has it. And I kinda like it.
