As for answers, the producers said in EW last week that they intend only to solve mysteries that are still relevant to the characters. Other things will be left to our own imaginations. I guess that means we'll never get the story on Walt or Libby or the numbers, among other things. Oh well.
Isn't Cynthia Watros (sp?) (Libby) coming back this season? Maybe we will get more of her story. And I've heard them say that the numbers will play a big role this season so likely we'll learn more about that. Walt I don't know about. He's difficult since he's grown so much since the first season.
