Our inspection last week went about as expected, which, in my opinion, made it a pretty good inspection.
There were several minor things. Which we knew there would be some things that would need to get fixed. No house is perfect. Things like the bathroom cabinets need to latch, the light in the kitchen is too low and a light socket that's not grounded.
And only a few major. These were the surprise. And the must-be-repaired. Luckily it's not the roof or foundation. If this house had those problems, we'd have to start looking again as we won't get approved for a mortgage on a house with a foundation or roof problem.
So now we've extended the option period at the request of the seller and will hopefully reach an agreement on what repairs the seller will make in the next few days. Fingers crossed!
