Back to the real world

Vacation is over and I'm sad to see it go. Though it is nice to be home and back on a semi-regular schedule. Our trip was a lot of fun, only it didn't provide me with fun stories to tell you here. Unless you count how the first night I got drunk and decided to kick DBF for a comment he made only I missed him and kicked his chair. Hard. And now I have a nice bump and bruise on my shin. We must be getting older if that's the craziest story that came from the whole trip. I didn't even get to see my friend's Mike's ass that usually makes an appearance on these trips. Well, that might be a good thing. Anyway, we didn't do anything exciting like hike in a rainforest or swim in a waterfall like we did last year.

This time we just hung out by the pool.

Read our books.

Drank. A lot.

Played games (for some reason, this is the only pic I have of us playing games even though we played a ton... water volleyball, Pictionary, Five Crowns, Apples to Apples, Bones, Catch Phrase and of course, the Wii).

And along with the game playing was of course the trash talk. And the boys got an addition to their team with DBF joining us this year.

Played and gushed over the baby.

Walked the beach.

Marveled at how Ike was affecting the surf in Destin when it was 600 miles away.

Then marveled at how calm it was 2 days later (HUGE difference!).

All in all, a highly successful and relaxing vacation (except maybe the 16 hours it took us to get home).
