ANSWER - Tuesday Trivia: Telephone

Why was all telephone service in the U.S. and Canada suspended for one minute on August 4, 1922?

In tribute to Alexander Graham Bell, inventor of the telephone, whose funeral was held that day. All phone lines were silent from 6:25 to 6:26 p.m.

Congratulations to Mochaface friend Linds for being the first (and only one) to get the answer!
