Trying to laugh at my problems

I don't remember when it first started. Sometime in the last few months. But it's steadily getting worse. My laptop at work shuts off randomly. It might seem like fun, but it's not. It usually waits to shut off until I'm deep into a project. Sometimes I remember to save often, and sometimes I don't.

And even worse, sometimes the damn thing refuses to come back on.

So this morning I happened to see this comic. The boss's reaction reminds me so much of my Bossman's reaction. Which is probably the funniest part.

Then there's this one. Which is what I feel like telling Bossman when he wonders why I'm not getting things done in a timely manner.

I'm thinking about printing them out and putting them on my door so maybe he'll get the idea. Anyway, they made me laugh a little at this frustrating problem of mine. Which would be a first as these random shut offs tend to have me screaming obscenities (literally) and threaten to run the piece of shit over with my car.

Update: As I was writing this post, the fucker shut off.

Update Update: Just realized that Blogger cuts off the third panel, and I'm not techno savvy enough to figure out how to fix it. But if you click on the strips, you should be redirected to dilbert.com, and there you can see the full strips.

I know it's not actually funny, but when you twitter about it I can't help but giggle. I'm sorry. It's only because I know how it is so well.

It wouldn't be a Dell would it?? Mine did that for quite some time before it finally gave up forever. Highly recommend backing up - if you can get it to stay on that long.

Nah, it's a Toshiba. According to DBF's dad, it's abnormal for Toshibas to be this shitty. But I still don't think I'll ever buy one as a personal computer.

I tweet about it partly to vent my own frustration and partly to entertain. So giggle away. :-)
