HBP Movie News
Some casting news out of Warner Bros. today for Half-Blood Prince...
Naomi Watts has been cast to play Narcissa Malfoy. She definitely looks the part with her blonde hair and pale complexion. Also in casting news...Joseph Fiennes and Stuart Townsend will join the HBP cast. It hasn't been announced yet what parts they'll be playing. I'm wondering if it's one of the Gaunts, Mundungus, Slughorn or Scrimgeour. Ralph Fiennes, Joseph's brother, plays Voldemort.

OH. MY. GOD
After roughly 9 1/2 hours with a break for sleep, I've finished Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I cheered; I laughed; and I cried. It is pure genius, and that is about all I can manage to say about it right now.

Hump Day Humor: Harry Potter Videos
In honor of the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows this Saturday, here are a couple videos having a little fun with Harry. The first is a SNL skit from 2004 with Lindsey Lohan as a well-endowed Hermione. The second is a parody of Harry Potter and the old sitcom "Welcome Back, Kotter" in which Harry is a has-been magic school teacher. Enjoy!

Less than a week to go
I can hardly believe that after seven years of waiting, I'm less than a week away from knowing the end of Harry Potter. It seems like it's been forever and yet it seems like it has flown by. I want to take a moment and officially put my thoughts out there on some of the major questions leading into this final book.
Counting down the days...
- Will Harry live? - Yes.
- Is Snape good or evil? - Good.
- Will Voldemort live? - No.
- Aberforth
- more on Lily
- what will become of S.P.E.W.
- Neville's inevitable battle with Bellatrix
- how Regulus was able to steal the locket
- Draco

Meredith's sister to stick around
As TV Guide has reported, ABC confirmed that Chyler Leigh (who was seen at the end of season 3 in two scenes as Meredith's half-sister Lexie) will be a series regular beginning season 4. This is despite how much the focus group hated the thought of McDreamy and Lexie together. To this I say, go Shonda/ABC! Why listen to a very select group of people? There's a reason why they don't write for television. Personally, I think any storyline that has McDreamy with anyone else besides Meredith is worth sticking to. Maybe this means we'll still see George and Izzie together? Don't worry...there still might be a chance they decide to not have McDreamy with her sister and that they want to keep her solely for the drama she'll add just by being there. But creatively - I'd love to see where it goes.

No more George & Izzie?
Apparently, as scooped by TV Guide, the results of a focus group has ABC leaning towards dropping the George and Izzie romantic story line. At least that was the conclusion of one of the participants in the focus group. Something like 95% had negative feelings towards the two of them hooking up. Well, duh ABC! Did you not pay attention to what everyone saying via web when that first was introduced?! I admit that at first I was vehemently opposed to George and Izzie. But now I'd kinda like to see a little more before I make my decision. Thought, it does seem a bit odd that in one season Izzie goes from deeply grieving for Denny to all of a sudden grieving for the relationship with George she can't have even though she's so in love with him. Since she was supposed to be so in love with Denny her feelings for George made her feelings for Denny disingenuous. So maybe it is a good thing the story line might be dropped. Remember, ABC has said nothing one way or the other about this story line and Shonda may be sticking to her guns. I guess we'll just have to wait and see to know for sure.

Private Practice recast news
Merrin Dungey, who played Dr. Naomi Bennet, is no longer a member of the cast of ABC's Private Practice, the Grey's Anatomy spinoff centering on Dr. Addison Montgomery set in LA. Dungey will be replaced by Audra McDonald as Addison's best friend. Creative reasons were cited for the change in actresses.
