Grey's Anatomy S4ep6

The Chief and Derek living side by side in their own trailers. How hilarious.

The one bride was almost pathetically competitive. Who cares that you had to have surgery and another girl almost long as you win dammit! I didn't look closely, but I have a strong suspicion that George did not let go first.

McSteamy torturing George was kinda funny. And he had to have known it was coming. His face when he took the dress and realized what Sloane was doing. No surprise, that Callie took some pleasure out of it.

Cristina would have been all hard core over the awake open heart surgery, but only Izzie thinks about the patient and what it's going to be like for him. How freaked out he's going to be seeing and hearing what patients shouldn't see and hear. Only she would adjust the OR to make him a little less freaked out. And only Izzie would talk to him about his birds to calm his heart down to finish the surgery. I think Cristina realized that Izzie belonged in that OR when Derek remarked about the picture being a smart move.

Callie is letting go. Hallelujah! It's about freakin' time.

A skydiver drops 12,000 feet without a parachute and survives without a single bone broken. Can someone with a better knowledge of physics explain to me how that's even possible?

Meredith was surprisingly insightful this episode. The skydiver reminded her of her death experience (you could hardly call it near) and the clarity she experienced. She's trying to find her way out of the dark and twisty way of life. She just has no idea how to go about it so she's struggling.

Lexie and Alex. I guess it was a matter of time. Though he once again was determined to do away with any nice guy images immediately. Why is he so afraid to be a good guy? What happened in his past? Will we ever find out? Shonda - please give us more!

George and Izzie. Their scenes are more brother/sister than romantic. I loved how Izzie broke down in hysterics because she wanted the perfect night but was too exhausted. But the best part was when George asked her if she shaved only one leg, and she breaks down again. The stress of everything...being a resident, George, Callie, the awake open heart's getting to her...clearly.

Erica Hahn will not go quietly into the night. She refuses to be passed over for a gentlemen's night just because she happens to have the wrong anatomy. She probably has more in common with men anyway. In more ways than one...if my sources are proven to be accurate ;-)

Has anyone else noticed the lack of Joe the bartender this season? Now that they're residents are they not going to the bar any more? Bring Joe back!
