Of all the new shows I've seen so far this season, Pushing Daisies has got to be my favorite. The visuals and quirky narration remind of a Tim Burton film. I know it's been said before but this show is so different from everything else on TV that it's refreshing. I only hope the audience agrees as I really want this show to last.
The "Pie-lette" was a little slow but my guess is this was due to all the back story that needed to be told to set the stage for the series.
Ned is a sweet character content with his life baking pies. I look forward to seeing him struggle with his feelings for Chuck but unable to touch her. Their banter is witty, humorous and well-written.
Kristin Chenoweth as Olive was incredible. She is a fabulous stage actress and I'm so glad to see that she transitions well onto the small screen.
