Crocs and the community that hates them

There are whole web sites and groups of people devoted to hating crocs (see www.ihatecrocs.com). It's getting so much fan support (the anti-movement, not the shoes) that a reporter in Baltimore actually wrote an article on this community of good taste.

My favorite quotes from the article..."While I find the fact that they resist bacteria somewhat interesting, when did that become a criteria for a good pair of shoes? And is it really that the material resists germs or that you just scare the [expletive] out of bugs when you clop around in their direction?" and "The Croc-wearers walk about as if they have discovered something special in the unsightly combination of plastic clogs and foot sweat."

BTW - if you can't tell, I ABHOR these hideous things that like to pretend they're shoes.
